We have been adjusting to life here in Prague this first week. Mostly that involves wondering around the city, taking pictures, trying out restaurants, and getting classes going. Oh, and trying to pick up an internet signal at the pension. Just getting here was an adventure for some of us. Megan and I missed our connecting flights to Europe and got to spend an extra day in an airport. Unfortunately, she didn’t get her luggage for a while. We have now had two class sessions and a visit to Charles University (the Harvard of the Czech Republic). That was very interesting as we took our students into one of their classes and got to participate in some English learning sessions. We are recruiting a handful of the Czech students to participate in our Prague Scavenger hunt class activity later in the course. I would say the first week here has been a glowing success–no students lost, great walks around the city, and the Angelatos (gelato) owner already knows me because I’ve been there so much. More to come . . .
